Carl, as I wrote earlier, we develop with Firefox, then test with Windows
MSIE 6. Safari only comes third in our tests, that is only when we can find
the time.
I made some quick modifications to the edit-in-place code after your note of
yesterday, to work around a couple of known Safari bugs in the operation of
IFRAMES from Javascript.
The outliner now displays properly within the page on my development system
(MacOS 10.4.5 / Safari 2.0.3).
I suspect there may be a lot more Safari specific bugs in the outline save
process.
We are waiting to check the whole site for Safari compatibilities till the
last few days before launch, because Safari is still such a young (and
bugged) browser we always end-up looking for workarounds to bugs that will
eventually get corrected in the next release.
In the meantime, if you can provide me with a precise description of Safari
related bugs, I'll take a quick look and try to publish an immediate fix if
it does not take too long.
For the time being, I would recommend using Firefox on MacOS X, though we
will definitely provide Safari compatibility in iJot eventually. Users of
Opera, Omniweb and Konqueror are on their own for now :-)
Cheers
Marc
