Not really. It weighs around the same as my old Acer - somewhere
around 4.5 kg. I'm used to lugging around somewhat heavy laptops :-(
though I don't have the need to do that much these days. (It fits with
room to spare, in my old Acer lappy bag!) The battery form factor is
interesting; instead of jutting out at the back, it protrudes
downward, creating a 3/4 inch 'stand' which slopes the keyboard down
towards me, and provides for improved airflow into the intake vents
for the fan. Overall, pretty nice idea!

Well... considering that I spent over a year trying to make up my mind
what to buy :-) it was affordable, though still expensive. Still, this
is an investment - I'm not planning on getting another laptop for a
couple of years at least now, and I needed a somewhat decent-powered
system to do some of the stuff I do :-) so this was a good buy, IMO.
