Dear fellow meteor workers,

To my astonishment and dismay, I learned the Serbian government is
considering withdrawing funding for the Petnica Science Center, where one of
the best International Meteor Conferences ever took place in 1997. In fact,
this unique science institute has always been the main center of meteor
observers in Serbia, delivering new devoted meteor workers every year.

Though I'm not at all related to Petnica, the IMC in 1997 and the subsequent
contacts with Petnica people at other conferences has me convinced this is a
unique place for meteor science (and other sciences too). Please help saving
this center with its long tradition of meteor work.
