The Institute for Urban Exploration (IUE) is a guild of persons dedicated to the exploration of urban landscapes. This highly elite organization charts expeditions to document, and in some cases excavate artifacts from, otherwise "off limits" areas in various regions of the United States. The members, unless otherwise acquainted, communicate strictly on a codename basis, thus forming a close-knit operation with a comforting level of anonymity. The groups main focus is on the exploration of abandoned complexes, yet the special-ops group has missions including the infiltration of live sites, storm and sewer tunnels, out of area operations, and other highly classified projects. Our headquarters are currently based in San Francisco, CA.
