It can't be attributed to botox or collagen injections,
but Yahoo! has undergone a minor makeover. Just a few nips and tucks, or you
could call them tweaks. Some of the more noticeable changes are a music button on
the top of the home page, a more organized home page with alphabetical
product listings, customizable navigation buttons, weather updates, a single
search box, a streamlined directory for searching by topic, and the addition
of a Buzz Log. Interestingly, Yahoo! removed a button that linked surfers
directly to HotJobs. The addition of a music button on the home page would
appear to sync with its acquisition earlier this month of Musicmatch, the
online music provider. Yahoo! will use Musicmatch to sell digital music. Another change - a new search tab for the site's Web
directory and a regularly updated feature that will note which topics are
generating the most search requests. Yahoo! touted its updated front page
today with a teaser, "Try out the new Yahoo! Front Page - slightly
different, much improved" on, where else, the home page. Comments?
