Can you tell us more about your environment's AD problems? As an
outsider looking in, I wonder if it might be easier to fix those rather
than to try the LDIF-ish solution.

Subject: [intradoc_users] bulk user import to ucm - LDIF?
I am on a project and despite protesting and short of
shouting/swearing at people, I cannot convince them of the need to
use a directory server as our authentication source.
Some background - we run a number of ActiveDir servers but we are
unable to use AD as the authentication source due to connections
dropping and users losing access to UCM; and there are a number of
issues syncing exsiting users/groups to an LDAP server (Sun
Directory Server) which cannot be resolved within project
timeframes. According to the project manager (who doesn't realise
the implication of not running a directory server as our authorative
user source) this timeline is not negotiable I must add...
I have raised the possible solution of using some middleware called
MyAD which would become a "virtual AD" and stores user info in a
MySQL DB and in realtime update this with ActiveDir as a request is
made to UCM. This I'm told is "not suitable" either... Can a MySQL
DB be used as a user store out of interest?
So the only real option left (ROFL).... Is there a way I can
reliably import users/roles/accounts/etc using LDIF or other
standardised format into UCM? If you've got any ideas or have done
this then I would love to hear from you.
Thanks in advance.
