Are you saying that you typically didn't have to login at all to view
secure content when using the static url? Or, is the issue more of a
double-authentication issue (once for dynamic access via services and
another for static access)?

Can you retrieve the secure images via search? any permission issues
there or elsewhere when using the ucm portal?
