In February 1994, I began a free electronic newsletter, Internet-on-a-Disk, which I distributed by email. Later, I
dropped the email distribution, which had become a logistical
nightmare. (Not being paid for this activity, I simply couldn't
afford to devote a day or two a month to list maintenance.
I did, however, continue to produce new
issues and made everything available through our Web site at
www.samizdat.com
Up until now (October 2002), I have produced 52 issues.
We now plan to produce a new issue each month on the 15th and to post it here so people who wish can receive it, once again,
by email.
Each issue includes articles related to business on the Internet,
as well as brief notes and pointers to interesting new Web sites
and related technolgy, as well as sources of public domain books. You can view back issues at
www.samizdat.com/ioad.html
You will also see a link to the issue currently in progress
from our home page

I have set up this Yahoo Group, so readers can use it as a way to discuss with one another and with me topics raised in the newsletter, to share related insights, and to point one another
to additional Internet-based resources. I will intervene to delete postings that are grossly off topic or
that feel like spam, and will block those who submit such messages from future posting. But aside from that, this discussion
should be a free-for-all. Enjoy.
