As 2002 ebbs into history and we pause to consider the path we've
come, the joys and the sorrows, ups and downs, I find that the details
melt into the effect of the whole... and it is good.

Yes, I declare 2002 a very good year. All year I had enough to eat and
more! I was never without shelter or clothing. Indeed, By the
standards of most of the world and all of history, I was RICH!

I was able to visit nearly all my children and grandchildren at least
once. I was made to feel cherished by friends and family, and most
especially by my Lord... we all need to feel cherished!

Oh yes! 2002 has been an aweesome year!!

I thank God and I thank each of you for making it so!
