this Yahoo group is about IPTC Metadata expressed by XMP and not about the XMP technology as such and in particular not about building user interfaces.
I can only point at the Adobe website which provides in the SDK section an SDK package for creating Flex based user interface ("FileInfo-SDK") - including documentation.
