Art has already given you a link to the site, but in regards to lists
of photo categories, I'm not sure if you are referring to "controlled
vocabularies" or to the various fields that make up the IPTC Core,
and or EXIF schemas.

The IPTC Core fields can be found in the back of the new IPTC Core
User's guide, which is the same as the one on my site at:

I also license a "Controlled Vocabulary Keyword Catalog" that works
with the Image Info Toolkit application and also includes a tab
delimited text file that can be imported into:

Apple Aperture
BreezeBrowser Pro
FotoStation
Hindsight StockView
