It is my understanding that the question referred to the locking of metadata, which is not possible.

The LockTight product is a permissions based system for data access, and only works when data (images or whatever) is stored on a lexar memory card, and only while the data is on the card. After the images are removed from the card, the metadata and images can be accessed, copied and edited at will. In my view, this has a very limited application to photographers, stock agencies and publishers, perhaps in the military or law enforcement, or in situations where confidentiality/secrecy concerns require that access to data stored on a card be locked.
