Nice to hear from your and your successful projects :)

Me too have to find the time to attend for some meeting.

Those days I am on arranges for opening my own (registered) buisness of Developing solutions on the Internet (Ecommerce sites and more nice customized-to-customer stuff). Till now I've been working as a FreeLancer.

I don't know exectly what with the Mobile Noks game, but I think that the company stopped to develop it. But now Lior and his staff (Maybe I will participate in the development too, soon) are working on a US version with a lot of upgrades.

My GameCube is OK :) I still playing it again and again and again, with some new addict games. But I think in the next half year Nintendo will reveal the next generation console (A move that Sony had long time ago, and Microsoft will do in November, as I know).

Indeed long time since I've attended a meeting, partly because I moved to the north and it's difficult now to get to TA area.

We've been doing nice on the music front. We have a nice release coming out soon in the UK (possibly with a launch party here at Haoman 17), and also just released a nice compilation DVD together with the US godfather of digital media, Laurence Gartel. It's an interesting media project, combining tracks with eclectic visual (some are x-rated btw J ). Also released some wicked remixes etc.

How things are advancing with Noks? are they working on a mobile version ? We then chatted a bit about it and it was clear at least to me that their game is fitting par excellence for mobile devices. Would be interesting to know how they are progressing with it. Cause it got the addiction factor I suppose J

Hope to find time to arrive to the next meeting�

Incubator JVP Studio and the Office of the Chief Scientist have invested $500,000 in DoubleFusion, which provides advertisers brand and product exposure in PC and Console games. It currently has four employees.

DoubleFusion has developed an infrastructure for dynamic advertising on computer games by combining an interactive advertising model for games that enables advertisers to flexibly update their content in the games according to time, subject, and genre. The target audience for advertised products and brands in the games is the 15-27 age group, advertisers' most sought-after population segment. The computer games advertising market is projected to reach $1 billion by 2008.

DoubleFusion also integrates advertising space in the computer games, regularly updates the space through links with the advertisers' servers, and changes the content on the basis of the type of game being played and the way the player plays it.

With the completion of the financing round, DoubleFusion moved to the JVP Studio incubator at Jerusalem's Technology Park.

If you haven't noticed it already on our chapter website,
We're having another chapter meeting this friday.

Meeting subject: Cellphones Game Development

Originally we thought of devoting a single meeting to game
development for mobile phones. However, we have decided to
split this issue between two meetings.

On September 5th, Friday, we'll have a chapter meeting about
Basics of Game Development for Mobile. The lectures will
cover how to begin with development for cellphones and what
platforms are available (in addition to some few general
issues of the game development industry we usually cover).

The meeting takes place as the Interdisciplinary Center
in Hertzelia. The events will start at 8:30am (reception)
and lectures will begin at 9:00. Ending time expected to be 12:00.
The hall where we meet is called 'class 22' (kita 22)


The next meeting, in about 3-4 weeks, will include more advanced
issues covered by different israeli companies. We'll list a list
of lectures close to the date of the meeting.

Hi All,
As you probably know, the latest would-be meeting on the 29/8 never
took place.
The next meeting is taking place on friday the 5/9/2003 at the IDC
(Inter-disciplinary center) in Herzeliya. check out the site
(http://www.igda.org/israel) for specific time and place details, as
well as instructions on how to get to the IDC.
Since mobile gaming is a very large subject, we decided to split it
into two seperate sessions. This coming session is primarily aimed at
beginners, and will deal with the basic issues involved in mobile
gaming (available platforms/technologies etc.).
The next one will be aimed at intermediate-advanced audience, and
will include lectures from representatives of mobile gaming related
companies.
