Hi,
just few suggestion typically students are more computer savy in MP.
the first motive of students is to get a decent placement. and a minority
group is to gain knowldege in programming.
 
1st group is least bothered about linux, as companies don specifically ask
questions on linux and encourage more ctl+c, ctl+v attitude.
 
2nd group is the one which we need to target.get people to
understand benifits of GNU/linux.  
 
most important thing that a student wants is help in how to learn programming
and and help for major/minor project.
i think we need some kind of effort to help students on these issues.
 
last but not the least, mostly all disucssions in linux world ends up heavy
discussions on licensing,GPL/bsd, MS bashing. its better we keep these things ,
encourage people to use linux at the same time if required help them write open
source softw.
 
these are my observation with linux world feel free to add on

to spreading the LINUX (Open Source) acceptance in the Jabalpur as
