Meeting minutes of LUG event (17th June'08)

The event was organized at Takshila Engineering college.It was
attended by students of Takshila Engineering college,Jabalpur
Engineering college,HItkarni Engineering college and St. Aloysius
college.

The event was started with an open discussion in which we discussed
about common problem which students face,like lack of guidance,
resources.Then I mentioned about the practical uses of the
engineering subjects.This was eye opener for few of the attendees.

After that we talked about the Open Source.Why it is idea behind it
and why we should use it?

Then I gave the presentation on Fedora.

We then discussed about the JBP-LUG.I gave a bit of history about it
and then introduced senior members.Then I mentioned about the things
which we can do in LUG meetings and requested some of the students to
come forward and volunteer for LUG activities.
Chandan Tiwari of Takshila Engineering college put his name to help
us organize the next event.

We were not able to finalize the next event venue or date but promised
to discuss about this on the mailing list.

Then Pushpendra advised the students to find "WHY/WHAT ??" in every
thing they see, study.
He mentioned that you should not believe in things which some
says.Analysis of any subject is very necessary and you should consider
both positive and negative aspects.

At the end we distributed fedora batches and stickers.
