I use the variac and bridge rectifier to prep the water. About 1 amp of
current.
For the cell, I'm now using a 555 pulser circuit running at 5 Hz to spin it
up. No need to push a high current through the cell to activate it.
In the car we just used the battery voltage and a pot to reduce it slightly.
Less than 50 uAmps.
