THE EVENT
After a few years of explosive growth and technological innovation,
Japan leads the world in mobile technology, but its maturing market and
recent changes within the industry are about to force the carriers to
radically alter their pricing and service strategies in ways that will
significantly effect both industry players and subscribers.

Larry Thompson of J-Phone will discuss these changes and explain how
they will effect Japan's future mobile landscape, including J-PHONE's 3G
service which is on track for launch in major cities nationwide in December
2002.
Mr. Thompson will talk in detail about the changes he foresees in how
handsets are manufactured and distributed and what these changes mean to
both the industry and to all of us who use mobile phones.

Larry Thompson is currently Corporate Officer, Sales Management
Department at J-Phone and has been with Vodafone, J-Phone's parent
company for more than seven years in both Japan and Korea.
