ICA May Special Roundtable Event

The ICA is pleased to announce a major networking and business
development roundtable event on Tue May 20. The event will
feature a round table discussion with three of Tokyo's top
Mobile Technology leaders. There will also be an executive
networking cocktail party where you will be able to exchange
ideas and enjoy a stand-up buffet.
SPEAKERS
TED MATSUMOTO -President - Qualcomm Japan
Qualcomm is best known as the company that pioneered Code Division
Multiple Access (CDMA) technology, which is now used in wireless
networks and handsets all over the world.$B!!(BBefore joining Qualcomm,
Matsumoto was president of Japan Link Corporation, a consulting
firm he founded in April 1996. Prior to Japan Link, he worked for
Itochu Corporation for 34 years in a variety of positions: senior
vice president and general manager of electronics (U.S.
Corporation); general manager of communication business;
general manager of multimedia business; and division vice president
of aerospace and information. Matsumoto received a bachelor of
law degree from Kyoto University in 1962.
TOSHI IWATA - Vice President - Cybird Co Ltd.
CYBIRD is a pioneer mobile Internet solutions provider established
in 1998. The company provides content sites for Internet-enabled
mobile phones and a wide range of mobile business solutions in
Japan and overseas, including planning, development, operation
and consulting. Mr. Iwata joined Cybird in 2001, in charge of
Vice President, International Business Department. He is
responsible for the global strategy and Business Development of
Cybird expanding its successful mobile content and solution
business to the global market.
DANIEL SCUKA - Wireless Watch - Editor in chief
Daniel launched the Wireless Watch weekly newsletter in March
2001. Wireless Watch Japan is the only independent
English-language media focusing exclusively on the business of
wireless in Japan. Daniel joined the editorial staff of J@pan
Inc magazine, where he covered wireless business and technology,
entrepreneurship, tech ventures, and Internet-related issues.
He co-authored the "i-Mode Developer's Guide," released by
Addison Wesley Professional in April 2002.
