ICA September 18 Event at FCCJ
PRESENTER:
Eric McNeil - IBM Directory Product Manager, IBM Tivoli Software
TOPIC:
When information MUST be right - the authoritative data foundation
for enterprise security
===============================
OVERVIEW
As enterprises open up their internal processes to customers, supply
chain, and increasingly to the new world of automated,
machine-to-machine transactions, they are exposed to significant data
accuracy risk. This includes the data that authorizes the
transactions, as well as the business data itself.
Eric McNeil will present real-life case studies that highlight the
significant impact this technology has on privacy policies,
enterprise security, and emerging software architectures, including
web services and federated transactions. Asian firms generally
have been slower to embrace these technologies than other geographies.
IBM believes Asia Pacific firms are poised for rapid growth in this
space as they catch up to worldwide requirements to interface with
their global supply chain partners.
Eric is the product manager for IBM's Directory Server and
Directory Integrator offerings, as well as a market strategist for
the IBM Tivoli Security portfolio. Prior to this, he was a manager
for the WebSphere brand responsible for marketing and portfolio
strategy. From 1997 to 1999, Eric was on assignment in Tokyo as
the Asia Pacific business development manager for the ThinkPad
mobile computing brand.
