We particularly hope content creators will attend.

The meeting will focus on 2 themes:

(1) Creative Commons <http://creativecommons.org/>, Internet and
challenges intellectual property rights and copyright.

This session will discuss new challenges to intellectual property
rights and copyright and how Creative Commons licenses are one
solution. New Japanese Creative Commons licenses will be introduced.
We hope for a lively discussion with creators and users.

(2) Discussion of idea presented in Lessig's highly acclaimed books
"The Future of Ideas" http://the-future-of-ideas.com/ > and "Code and
Other Laws of Cyberspace" <http://code-is-law.org/>. Lessig will
introduce his current idea on innovation the Internet and "Code",
Japanese experts from social science, law, open source software and
P2P have been invited to comment.

Both sessions will encourage participation from the audience.

Attendance is free of charge, but people must pre-register. There
will be Japanese/English interpretation.
