Thurs. Feb. 19 at FCCJ: Wireless Home Networking and the Next Generation of
Consumer Electronic Products by Chiharu Nakabayashi, General Manager,
Cisco-Linksys <http://www.linksys.co.jp/> K.K.
As the number of homes with wireless networks rises, customers are seeking
greater value from their networks. The wireless network has the potential to
deliver digital media from the PC and Internet to other multimedia products
around the home and become the backbone of a home's entertainment
infrastructure. Our speaker will discuss wireless LAN technology for the
home market, and the next generation of wireless LAN related technologies
and products.
Speaker: Chiharu Nakabayashi is the new general manager for Cisco-Linksys
Japan. Cisco Systems entered the multi-billion dollar home networking market
on June 2, 2003, with its acquisition of Linksys -- the leading US provider
of home networking products. Mr. Nakabayashi's new task is to enhance the
value of the Linksys brand. He previously spent 18 years managing
localization and international projects at IBM Japan.
