Richard Ochero
"Why drill holes in PCs?"
TOPIC: How Richard managed to get 200 used PCs to Uganda. A fascinating
story of both business building and community outreach. Come hear about
Richard's experience overcoming obstacles and getting results. Richard is a
great example and inspiration for anyone building a business and an
entertaining speaker.
SPEAKER PROFILE:
Richard Ochero has worked tirelessly to send used PCs (that would otherwise
be disposed) to Uganda for use in schools and community projects. Last year
he collected 200 computers in his apartment, bought a truck and shipping
them to Uganda, incurring a total outlay of more than $5000 of his own money
... that is after selling the truck at the other end. He spent 7 weeks in
Uganda getting the projects started and has plans to do it all again if he
can find storage for PCs and donations to offset the shipping costs. In his
spare time (actually as his real job), Richard works as an IT Support
engineer.
