"Selling technology to somebody better than you"

How Japanese companies used foreign technology to build their broadband
network", Christos Makiyama, SiliconPlanet Corp. President & Founder

A lot of technology companies consider Japan as a difficult market to
penetrate. It is part true, specically if you are trying to sell something

Broadband internet is an area that Japan leads the world with more than a
15million users!
Not many people know the fact that everytime connected to internet via
YahooBB or NTT Flet's ADSL or Fiber this is enabled by technology
developed from young foreign companies that did not exist few years ago.

Christos will talk about his experience of marketing and selling chipsets
for communication technologies such as VoIP, xDSL, ATM/SONET, Bluetooth
etc. made from young US, Canadian and Israeli companies to Japanese
telecommunication and electronics giants.
