In 2004 the PCC had a couple of great presenters talking about Social
Networking Services (SNS) - web sites that help connect people and their
extended networks. A year later and registrations at these sites continue
to flourish. But users fall into two general groups - heavy users making
big use of them and people who have registered and don't really know what
they've registered for or how to make use of the service. This is a waste
because SNS' have enormous power to connect extended networks in such a
way that was simply not possible before they existed and not using SNS
services means wasted effort and missed opportunities.

Focusing on business (i.e. not friend/dating) SNS services experts and
novices alike will learn what SNS services are all about, how to use them
and how you can make them work for you. Key items to be covered are:
- A look at the Top 3 Social Networking Services: www.linkedin.com,
www.openbc.com, www.ecademy.com
- Some of the not so great SNS services
- An intro to of the top Japanese social networking services and the
differences compared with their English counterparts.
