ICA Event - February 16th
Speaker:
Yosuke I. Itoh III, Director, CSP and Media Industry Services, Abeam Consulting
LLP.
Title:
Japan's Mobile Commerce Boom!
A Driver for Marketing Loyalty Program Consolidation
Japan is beginning to experience a dramatic increase in m-commerce adoption,
driven in part by Mobile Suica's launch, set for January 28, and the
super-successful "FeliCa"-branded mobile contactless payment services which have
been adopted by NTT DoCoMo, KDDI and Vodafone as the de facto market standard
for m-commerce, e-wallets, transportation and other peer-to-peer data transfer
services. Our presenter, Yosuke Itoh will cover how these advances in m-commerce
are changing the landscape in the field of Loyalty Marketing.
Loyalty marketing programs are designed to create loyalty and increase sales
from your best customers. Adding mobility and mobile payments to these programs
opens up a whole new world of opportunities for mobile marketers and enterprises
in todayfs competitive marketplace. Up until now, the proliferation of such
programs among virtually all national brands has made program differentiation
difficult. Our presenter will explain why several national retail brands are
teaming up to form "coalition loyalty schemes", and how the m-commerce platform
is helping to make this an even more powerful tool. Prior to joining Abeam,
Yosuke Itoh was an Associate Partner at Accenture's European
Communications/HighTech practice , CTO & Operator Alliance Director with the
original Livedoor Inc., and VP of CIO office at SONYfs Global headquarters.

>--------------<< Sponsor Event - PM Global >>--------------<
Please have a look at our upcoming training, designed by project managers, for
project managers. PM-Global would also like to offer you and others of the ICA,
a special course fee schedule, below:
Planning and Managing Projects (P&MP)
March 8-10 (3 days) - Tokyo Design Center
Early registration eligibility: Register by Jan 27
Professional Development Units (PDUs): 24
The most hands-on project management course available in Japan. Focus on the
definition, planning and control of key value-adding processes in projects. Case
studies are replaced with real projects that participants decide, giving project
managers a head start on their real work. Excellent for project teams that are
starting out a new project, or project managers needing knowledge in the
fundamentals, but at a deep level.
Managing Integrated Programs (MIP)
March 27-28 (2 days) - Tokyo Design Center
Early registration eligibility: Register by Jan 27
Professional Development Units (PDUs): 16
Starts from the premise that interdependent projects must be managed with added
skills and techniques. The aim is to improve program execution by using the
Planning and Managing Projects (P&MP) framework in each project, and conduct
special activities to initiate the program definition, manage interdependencies
between projects, and manage time based on one integrated schedule. Essential
for managers of multiple, connected projects, and the project managers of those
component projects.
