You are right, I changed the packagenames and some sources
('periodictable' for instance) of the JSci package.
On the page:

you can find a link to JSci!!!

Suggestion for the JSci project:
- I think it would be much easier to use JSci, if people could use it
like other sourceforge projects with CVS file releases, bugtracker,...
- A numerical evaluation mode1 (as Java interface or
implementation?) for both JSci and HartMath functions as a common base
would be a great thing.

Sorry, I can't reproduce this bug.
Inserted the above expression in the applet and get
w*x+w*y+x*z+y*z

You're right, but at the momaent I develop hartmath as a plugin for the
jEdit
text editor.
