AW: AW: [k-3] k3 list

What do you mean with „appetite for rawstock“? Jamming or scratching? Both can happen with any Mag of any Camera –no matter if it´s a „poor man´s Arri SR“ or a real Arri SR (or Bolex, Aaton, Éclair or whatever). It is a question of cleanness and adjustment, not of the brand. I am owning two 100ft Mags and three 400ft Mags for my (two) Kinor 16s. NO scratches and no jamming (when properly loaded). A typical russian problem is the fact, that every Camera and every Mag is an „individual“. A set of Mags was adapted especially for each Kinor in the factory (normally three 100ft Mags and two or one 400ft Mag). That means: Mags that havn´t been made for the camera you own, are fitting or not fitting. Both is possible. But it is possible to have them adapted (Olexandr Kalynychenko can do anything to your Kinor to make it work perfectly or to modify it) or to look a little around in the net and take the risk to order some Mags. You always will find fitting mags. The 100ft Mag is not expensive so it is worth it to take the risk.

I  owned a Kinor for a while. It was sort of like a poor mans SR 1. The only thing I didn't like was the magazines which seem to have to have an appitite for rawstock. Anway, long story short I sold it and bought a Bolex EBM and have been happy ever since.

Not bad.
