I plan on shooting a 3-D feature with my K-3 that I plan to blow up to IMAX. I am thinking that I need to replace the 16mm gate and use 35mm quasi-perf film...

Have you thought about making it a SOUND 3-D feature??? That is easily done with a K-3, with only a few things you can get at the local grocery store....

If your wanting to shoot in HDTV then you will not be using a K-3. HDTV is a video format using CCD chips not film. You may want to do some more research. ... ...

I try to unscrew the lens but the lens kept turning endlessly and didn't fall off.What can be done ? It's the pentax mount....
... If you look at the part of the lens that is the adaptor to the pentax mount, you will see that it is NOT turning. You'll have to get a jewelers screwdriver...
