The Kentucky Association of Science Educators and Skeptics (KASES) brings together hundreds of science educators and other professionals interested in helping students and the public better understand basic principles of evidence and proof, while commenting on the great divide some still see between science and religion. As one of our officers writes, "There are millions of theists -- including millions of Christians -- who believe in a supernatural creator God and also accept both the historical reality of evolutionary phenomena over the billion+ years of natural history and the scientific validity of evolution theory in attempting to explain those phenomena. 'God OR evolution'is a false dichotomy. There is much conflict between science and religious fundamentalism, but there is no NECESSARY conflict between science and religion."
