Zone in PCB with no schematics and gEDA symbols   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #2329 of 6238 |
Hi all !

I'm a new user of Kicad, and I'm starting with a simple PCB board,
without entering its schematics.

1/ Is there a way to use the zone function (ground plane) even in
these conditions ? For now, kicad sets all pads to the same net (which
I understand as no ratnest is available), and consequently all pads
and tracks inside the zone are connected together.

2/ I can't find some parts in the modules library (mostly connectors),
but these footprints seem to be available on gedasymbols.org . Is
there a way to import (or convert) them from this format ?

Thanks and rgds

Laurent
