Re: LM7805 and LED footprints

Ahhh. I see T0220 is what i should have used.
What i did was change the LM78xx footprint in the module editor
and saved under my own library.
Kida confusing when my part was a LM7805, so i figured the footprint would be
the same, or close i.e. LM78xx.
I now know better.
MMM. i wonder should i go back and change it to the T0220, or is ok
to leave with one i changed in the editor?

Thanks agian.

There is only one LED in eeschema and only one LED(LEDV), in CVpcb and yet they don't match, no wires in Pcbnew, however the pins seem to match as far as i can...

The 78xx and the LED work fine, I've used them myself many times. The 4th pad on the 78xx is under the tab, and is not actually used, it's there to prevent...

NBothing more than finger trouble. In the ten-step file, you have not connected many of the components. This is a little failing of the system, in that when...

It does.. on the first board ERC gave me 14 errors or so. As I said finger trouble. You should have seen the mess I got into at first. Save button after the...

Ok the LM7805 pads were labeled incorrectly, PCBnew was expecting, #1,#2,#3... but they were labeled VI,GND,VO, which is schematically correct, but not for...

No, if you use the LM78xx footprint you get a TO220 package and the pins ARE VI VO and GND, the same is true for the LM87L package where you get a TO92...

No you have that the wrong way around... The TO220 footprint is for standard TO220 transistors. The footprint that you need is the LM78xx, note that there is...
