Ok let me rephrase my last remark. All men with Klinefelters are born with the
extra X chromosome. I am yet to come accross one site where is states that you
can develop Klinefelters after being born.. And each case with Klinefelters is
different. Some are mosaic others are a lot worse off, some are larger and some
are very skinny.  There is to much negativity on the net which generalizes
Klinefelter Men who are meant to be this, that an the other. One cant put such a
huge generalization on this.
But since people seem to know better I wont bother with this crap anymore.
Goodbye

All boys are not born with XXY.
And I like how Wells turned the group's blogging ability up. It does
feel like a disease though:
I'm 23, and found out at 14, and to know that every time I take the
injection or medicine, that I could easily be in a different, not
attracted to someone that I was before it, having mood swings, weight
gains, zits, etc.- does feel like it's a disease. And then now that,
due to Katrina, I'm living with my parents again, my Mom and Dad both
judge me by it: for an example, my Mom especially will use it against
me whenever I disagree with her, even when she is clearly lying and
say: "Well Klinefelter Men are just unsociable like that and often have
trouble being agreeable." Hell, I even wrote and published four books
(on my own), and she'll say, "Well Klinefelter Men are main suppose to
be good at math and art, I can't understand your writing."; and then my
Dad when he's in the area of this will come and agree. But I've gotten
used to that...and then with friends and dates, imagine what it's like
to act love when you don't feel it for the most part, not feel any love
when kissed, or to gather up that you really can't have sex with
someone; or even party like other guys do- and in addition feel
emotional bends when insulting comments are sent towards you or to
anyone...And now with today's economy a.k.a. that America phase for the
value of money and the crisis of wealth(s), friendliness and care are
lacking.... Now I haven't been just a blob, I go out and do things,
jobs, volunteer work despite of my parents, and whoever.... Anyway I
could go on... but the point is, to the majority it's like a
eunich-ism, or a something that literally makes you "less" of a man-
but I'd say more so; for a man is driven by sex, and we are driven for
a self-humanity an independent will that is not understood by those who
encompass their life due to wealth and sex. It may be more "real", and
globally understood, and that's one of many of the conflicts that treat
this difference as a "disease".
What do you think?

I am yet to hear that someone who had normal Chromosome XY and all of a

Have all of you seen all of the information out about BPA, a lawsuit
was filed in Califonia this past week agaiest the manufacturers of
plastc baby products made from BPA. BPA is an artificail Estrogen that
also is used to harden or soften plastics. A class action suit is being
filed and I will have more information soon so that we can all add
ourseles to the Class action suit.

Because Moron, the chemical company that originally manufactured it, is now
involved in a class action suit to pay individuals for the chromosome damage

Have all of you seen all of the information out about BPA, a lawsuit
was filed in Califonia this past week agaiest the manufacturers of
plastc baby products made from BPA. BPA is an artificail Estrogen that
also is used to harden or soften plastics. A class action suit is being
filed and I will have more information soon so that we can all add
ourseles to the Class action suit.

Hey all,
How are are you doing today? My name is Adam Mullin and at the
moment I live in San Francisco. I am 23, and found out when I was 14
when living in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. I had an often
younger voice at the time, no pubic hair, and had Asthma continually
along with become depressed very easily or barely being able to
finish the "mile" for my middle schools physical education program.
After taking the injection every 2 weeks, and at age 17 I became not
only more active, but I began to feel more comfortable with people
and wasn't near as depressed and tired as I was prior. I began to
take walks much longer than one mile. In school I could learn and
comprehend much better, as well as get a long better. I felt
motivated and inspired at 16 and since to get jobs and volunteer. So
I've graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans (in Fall of
2006), and now with four books published ,computer animation classes,
and jobs, and walking diagonal streets of SF and the California
countryside, I enjoy being busy.
Now back to why I think I received it or grew up with it. My Dad
when I was younger ran a plastics manufacturing plant. My Mom had
indicated that in comparison to my other brothers (I, being the
middle){6 years from my older, and 3 years older than my younger}, I
had spent a lot of time at the office (as an infant) and near the
fumes and injection molding machines. This was in part due to my
Mother getting involved with the company, as my Dad was focusing more
on sales and going to companies to design parts (so the plastics
plant could make the molding (she would be handling the plant,
accounting and secretarial work). My older brother had spent some
time in the plant (though they had just got the plant (I think when
he was around 3), and for my younger brother my parents got a
babysitter (when they could afford one). We lived in Menlo Park,
California at the time (20 minutes from San Francisco). She indicated
that I had numerous amounts of severe Asthma, and in addition had
several emergency room visits to get oxygen back. Doctors thought I
was having growth problems when I was younger 2/3 years, and they
gave me the steroid, cordisone. After gaining weight, they found out
I was allergic to milk, yet I still wasn't developing- my mother
indicated like my older brother.
In relation to that stage, I recently came across an article on
how the levels of BPA in polycarbonate plastic (a plastic which my
Dad's plant had often used, and a plastic that has been on the market
since the mid 1940s) relate to chromosome disorders, birth defects,
miscarriages, and sexual disorders.

I'm interested in what you think about it,
Adam
I am XXY, ks47. Diagnosed at 17, I am now 49. I have always been on HRT in
different methods, over the years. I use sutagel now, I have found it to work
the best for me. I am not gay. I do however, understand why a man with ks could
be gay. At one stage I too thought I could be gay, and so I tried it with a man,
but a man does'nt do it for me, I prefer the touch of a woman.. I have struggled
through life too, my parents abandoned me not long after diagnosis, they
divorced and did their own things. I have been married twice, and both marriages
did'nt work because the women wanted children, although they had excepted the
fact, that IÂ am sterile. I live alone now, just me and my dog. I enjoy life,
but I do suffer from the effects of Klinefelters Syndrome. Depression,
Arthritis, and my bones ache continually. But I just keep going on, stay in
touch, lets chat again.
Kind Regards Rob. robert.wells50@...

Subject: [Klinefelters Syndrome's Gateway] Sexual Identity
For forty years I stumbled through life without knowing anything
about KS. I had learning disabilities, which I learned to work
around. I had sudden fits of temper in my teen years, which I thought
was normal when being up against two teenage sisters. I was tall and
skinny, but so was my Dad in his youth, so I never paid much
attention to it, except that I was very sensitive to my skinny legs
in high school. I was very uncoordinated, I dreaded going to gym
class and go through the humiliation of being picked last to play on
some team or even the boys walking away to play before finishing
their team picks. I couldn't hit a kick ball with a bat, let alone a
baseball if my life depended on it. I was quiet and shy, socially
awkward. I sort of tagged along with guys who I liked, without every
really feeling like I was their best friend, they even had a nickname
for me 'the shadow'.
Puberty was not a problem for me, I started to mature around 11, I
remember this because up unto then my mother used to have me bath
with a sister 1 year younger, until we both noticed our first pubic
hairs coming. I continued to grow hair on my legs and under my arms,
with very little chest hair (just like my Dad) all the way through
high school. At 16, I began shaving and have had a thick beard my
whole life.
My sexual awareness started around 11 with puberty starting to sprout
on my gentials. I would read porn magazines with older boys as they
would show off their erections to us. I remember being fascinated
with other boys and attracted to them. This feeling has continued to
this day in my 46th year of life. However, in my early twenties when
I had the opportunity to meet gay men, I couldn't help feeling that I
wasn't one of them. And I was attracted to girls as well, but never
overly enthusiastic. I always considered myself somewhere in the
middle. I used to joke that I was some sort of Asexual entity (little
did I know what biologically going on inside me). I didn't identify
myself with being a gay male, I would meet them over the years and
never felt like I was one of them. So, although, I was definitely
attracted to some of my male friends going through H.S. and college,
nothing ever became of it. I did some experimenting after way too
much alcohol on a couple of occasions with little satisfaction or the
compulsion not to try it again. I began having sex with females in my
early twenties and enjoyed those encounters, so I shrugged off
the 'gay thing' to curiosity and those homosexual tendencies that
young men have.
However, I slowly developed a heightened feeling of attraction to men
as I got older. I married at 33, and in our first couple of years of
marriage we had a lot of pleasurable sex. The pleasure stopped after
about 36 when we started to try to have children, then sex became a
chore. Of course, we knew nothing of my condition. Stupidly, we never
had me checked, we thought the ovulation kits we had were messing up
the timing.
At 40, I had been hospitalized with a DVT. Following that I was
probed and tested by every kind of doctor. A Hemotologist was the one
that discovered my hypogonadism and ordered the chromosone test. Up
until then, it never occurred to any doctor that my testicles were a
little smaller than normal and since my penis size was normal, I was
just seemed to slip by.
Of course the results were devastating to us, more my wife than I. I
guess, like my sexuality question, I always had this feeling that I
would not be a father. I found out at 40 and I have to say that the
next 4 years were very shakey ones in our marriage. First of all, the
HRT elevated my hormone levels to a heightened sense of sex that I
had never felt before. I remember in my twenties seeing guys hanging
out car windows howling at girls walking down the street and I would
think, 'what neanderthals' . Now I was that howling guy.
However, the HRT had a much more profound affect on me. If I was
Asexual or (20% homo and 80% hetereo) the HRT inverted that ratio. I
was convinced that every co-worker or guy walking down the street was
gay and I wanted them. I became totally uninterested in my wife and
sex ceased for us. I started going to gay bars, got my own room, went
to video arcades. I started drinking more alcohol and the combination
turned me into this raging sexual maniac and the alcohol made me
reckless. At one point I was conviced I was gay and 'came out' to my
wife. This was a bad scene, as she told her mother, my mother (a
shrink) cousins, friends, siblings...After about 4 years, my wife and
I were on the verge of divorce, I had propositioned a co-worker,
which ended up with me leaving not only the company but my industry.
I was hitting rock bottom. So, I went to AA to help me quit the
booze. Since, I was convinced I was gay then I went to Gay AA to get
sober, then I started decreasing the HRT slowly and after a month had
stopped completely. Gay AA continued for about a year. Slowly, again
I realized I did not identify with these men and I was definitely not
gay.
Now sober for 2 years and off of HRT for about the same amount of
time. 90 year old men probably have a stronger sex drive then I do.
ED has set in, but since I rarely think about sex, this does not
bother me. My wife and I have not had sex in over a year.
I believe the extra 'X' in my case makes me attracted to men. I see
this as a biological force of nature. I have tried to meet married
gay men to find comfort with my sexual battle. But at the end of the
day I'm Intersexual and their not. We have no connection.
So, I stumble on through life seeing what this extra X has in store
for me next. Now, the marriage is as best as it could be minus the
sex, my career has taken off and financial security is setting in.
Does anyone have a similar story?

Does anyone have a similar story?
Dear Rob,
A couple of items in your post caught my eye. Why do you have an extra
"X" Chromosome? The jury is still out on how we come to be, but there
is evidence that we get it either from our father in the sperm or from
our mother in the egg. Others believe it happens after the egg is
fertilized and happens when the cells start to divide. Only God knows,
and He isn't telling us, because it isn't important for us to know.
As a number of the parents feel, we are eXtra special in that we have
one or more extra "X" chromosomes. We are a special gift from God,
because God knows that we can handle the daily challenges that go with
our genetic signature.
For me, I do not have a dreadful condition because I can live a normal
life, I can see with both eyes, I can hear with both ears, my taste is
great, I can smell very well, and my touch is very sensitive. I was
born with all the necessary parts to be a man, I am not missing any
important parts in my body. However, there are people born with missing
important parts, like missing eyeballs, or missing hands or feet or
fingers or their hands are attached at the elbow. My ex-wife was born
with scar tissue on both retinas so that her vision is very limited, and
there is absolutely nothing that can be done to fix that. I also know a
young man that was in a work related accident that left him with partial
vision in one eye, no hearing in one ear, no sense of taste or sense of
smell. And even he does well going from a professional boxer to being
limited in what he can physically safely do.
It is very important to use food supplements and complete protein each
day. Besides the calcium magnesium complex, I highly recommend daily
weight bearing exercises. All of the calcium in the world without
weight bearing exercise will not produce strong bones.
I was DXed at the age of 30 in 1973, and for the six months prior to my
DX, I did use exogenous testosterone; however, right after I was DXed I
stopped using testosterone. In 1981, I was introduced to concentrated
food supplements and complete soy protein. I have used these products
ever since, changed my diet taking out caffeine, most sugar and salt,
and at the age of 65, my physical, mental, and spiritual health is
excellent to say the least and I am not impotent.
Yes, I do use calcium magnesium and have for all of those years since
1981, in large amounts. My bones are in excellent condition.
Occasionally, I will take a major tumble, and can get up and feel almost
nothing. If my bones were weak, I would at least crack a bone and that
doesn't even happen.
Testosterone is NOT the panacea that many would have us to believe.
There is no way that anyone will ever convince me that God made me so
that I would have to live on man made chemicals. My research shows that
when we make sure our body gets optimum levels of nutrients, our body
will produce the necessary amounts of all hormones, not just sex
hormone.
HAVE A GREAT DAY!
Ivan, age 65, Grandfather

I was not daignosed until 40 years old. I was on HRT for two years
and stopped taking it. I don't believe HRT has any proven medical

In the group, there are members who have been on HRT for over 30
years and still have developed osteoperosis. I have members who have
gone off it for a year after being on it for over twenty years only
to notice that they weren't as horny as before and that their job
performance improved off of the HRT. I use natural supplements for my
mood (Sam-E, St. John's Wart, or B-Complex), 1500mg daily of Calcium
and I could go on. Basically, when I wanted to stop taking the HRT, I
asked my Endo and she said plain and simple, 'It depends how good you
want to feel.' 'Otherwise, I would suggest you take a B-Complex and
look into natural supplements. ' My biggest fear was the Osteo factor,
my scan at age 42 showed I was on the cusp of developing the 'penia'.
After just 1 year on 1500 mg. of calcium my next scan showed
improvement and now after 3 years, you should see my chart, my bones
are steadily growing stronger. But in the end it comes down to what
makes you feel better. My wife and I are were just discussing how
better our lives have become since I went off of the HRT. We are all
different. Before I went off the HRT I cut my daily dosage in half,
so I slowly went off of it. Then try a trial period of 3 months and
see how it works for you. Good Luck. Paul

I was not daignosed until 40 years old. I was on HRT for two years
and stopped taking it. I don't believe HRT has any proven medical
benefits. They say it might help this or that, it might make you feel
better or horny. But clinically, I'd like to see what advantages
taking HRT provides. I have a group called Married Klinefelter Males.

I'm not a doctor, but generally speaking if you are already past
puberty the biggest issues will be things like loss of libido/possible
erectile dysfunction and loss of muscle tone/mass...but it can also
affect people's moods and has been linked to osteoporosis.
If your only problem with taking it is the fact that you have to
inject it, you might want to ask your MD about going to a trans-dermal
delivery system like a patch.
Either way, just stopping cold turkey without medical oversight is a
very bad idea.

I have been taking testosterone for the last 17 years, I get tired of
taking these shots each week, and decided to quit taking them. What is
the drawbacks of not taking the testosterone, my wife said it will do
damage to my body. What do you think?

Sounds like you have your hands full. If you love to read and like
to research we can help you lots. If not, we can still help you
there are lots of sites out there now. Feel free to look through
the links here, database, and files. Most want to know just general
stuff and we can guide you there. We have a board full of men of
all ages and walks of life so you will get a lot of different
answers to the same question.
I will start you out though, no your grandson is not gay because
of having KS. I personally have found many ways to help control
much of the "uncontrolable" symptoms without medication, though some
medication can help get your grandson to this point. KS is genetic
though is not carried down from one generation to another. I was
degnosed early enough to get all the myths attatched before they
started finding out more hard facts. I know this is not much of a
welcome, but hope this helps you get started on your journey. There
are a lot of sister degnoses in the sector so you will have to wade
though a bit. As you need help finding information on a topic or
area, please do not fail to contact me, Founder and owner of the
board, Roy
