I installed, configured, and tested out LabHand today (finally!) and am
interested in using it. The CD-eject and screen bit depth features
alone will really help.
There was a problem for me, though, in that something LabHand does
accesses the workstation HD about every second. It sounds like a watch
ticking (double-ticking, actually). Not too annoying on one machine,
but in a labfull of stations, it's more than annoying. Of course, I'm
concerned about the wear on the drives, as well.
I'm using iMac/400 workstations at OS 9.04, MacMgr 1.4.1 on ASIP 6.3.3.
Everything else runs peachy, and removing LabHand eliminated the
ticking; verified on 6 different client machines.
