“ A feeling for Places”

*** “Pitik at gala” are the words to live by for the members of this photography club. Believing that Travel is not merely reaching a new destination but more about new way of seing things, Klickers quench their wanderlust by exploring and discovering travel spots – whether familiar or unheard of, whether local or abroad – and honing their ability to capture the character of the places they go to.
As taking a trip, is also a voyage of meeting people and their ideas the group also delves into building contact with resource persons who can improve their photography know-how, incorporating inexpensive travel plans, getting together with people or groups whose interest in “galaan” matches theirs.
Lakbay Klik started off from Southern Visayan trip planned by some of the graduates of the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation Basic Photography class in July 2006. Returning from the said outing hatched plans to create an online group and later on a club for those suffering from “itchy feet” (of the non fungal variety) and by October of the same year (2006) a model crew 10 traveling buffs was assembled.
Under the counsel of Mr. George Cabig, whose knowledge and experience is established in the industry, Lakbay Klik members look forward to cultivate their pursuit of Travel Photography, wherever it may take the individual members later on. Hopefully for each Klickers finding his or her individual point of view or style will lead to expressions of personalized sense of being in a place.***
