please bear with me...I am new to the palm pilot platform...I used to
use a Sharp Wizard OZ-9600 to keep my expense/time records that was
used for tracking auto mileage and busness expense...I could print
these records on my iMac (OS 8.6)...what program do I use or where
can I get such a program that allows me to use my palmn pilot and to
export to my iMac desktop for printing...thanks a bunch for your
help...I am also a physician and would like to know what programs
other physicians find helpful for use with the palm pilot...I
recently purchased a Palm IIIxe
Absolutely fascinating AND entertaining. Thanks,
Jackie

What is COM1 used for? You may have to do it with an A-B switch. Sometimes
the peripheral on the COM1 won't let something else go on COM3 because of
the competition for the IRQ.

I have the Visor Deluxe setup on my desktop as Lou1 via USB. I also
created the user Louiii but I don't seem to be able to connect to the Palm
III via Comm 3. I know Comm one is in use and Comm 2 is my internal
modem. How do I set the Hot Sync to work?

The software is called "SoftGPS". It can be found at PalmGear.
I have it and would be more than happy to e-mail it to anyone asking
for it... let me know...

I think Lou mentioned, at the pug, a GPS joke software that says "You Are
Here" when you run it.
Does anyone know the name of it? I have a friend that was looking for it
but doesn't know what it's called. I would like to send it to her.

Several people at today's meeting asked for information about GPS.
Check out this news group.

I am looking for a Palm III to test some hardware and software combination
that will not work on my Visor Deluxe.
Physical beauty is not a concern. Being good working order is.
I have checked Ebay but nothing looks reasonable to me. I am estimating
under $100.
If anyone has an extra one that lives in the San Fernando Valley or Santa
Clarita are and can lend me one for a week or two, that would be great as well.
Please email me directly or call me at 661-296-3823.
Warm regards
Lou
Hello LA Puggies,
I will be bringing a Visor Hotsync Cable to the meeting tomorrow if anyone
wants to buy a cable hand delivered!
It is brand new, still in the box from Handspring, and I will sell it at a
loss at the list price of 19.95 to anyone interested! (I just don't feel
like going through the hassle of getting an RMA, etc.)

Sorry for the confusion, Allan. The next meeting for our group, the
Los Angeles Palm User Group (LAPUG), will be May 20 at 1030am at AIU.
The other group is a user's group for PDA's in general and they are
meeting at another place and time. Some of the LAPUG members asked
for information about this group at the last meeting.
Once again - I'm sorry for the confusion,

Welcome to the LAPUG Email Discussion List! This List
was started thanks to a suggestion from Lou Wiener, one
of our members. I'm hoping this List will allow you LAPUG
members and other Palm enthusiasts to discuss the latest
hardware and software for your Palm, ask and answer
questions from other users, get info on Palm related jobs
and many other topics I probably haven't thought of yet.
