Hello Lebeau-Software subscriber,
I have just released a minor update to my ICQLaunch program.
This release includes the following 2 changes:
BUG FIX
------------
a bug fix for the status feature:
this bug was causing the following error message to appear whenever the /s
parameter was used:
"Could not switch the status information"
NEW FEATURE
-----------------------
a new setting related to the multi-instance feature:
In the ICQLaunch settings window (run ICQLaunch with no parameters), there
is a new section which allows you to use one of the following options when
determining whether to launch the ICQ account in a new ICQ window or not:
- Restart ICQ with account (default action)
If ICQ is already running, this will close ICQ before
launching the new account (if the "Automatically close
ICQ if it's still running" option is checked)
- Open Account in new window
(ICQ99b and above only)
This will launch the new account in a new ICQ window,
leaving the current widow still running.
(NOTE: This option replaces the /n parameter of the
previous version, which is no longer implemented)
- Prompt the user for choice
When launching the new account, you will be prompted
whether or not to launch it in a new ICQ window.
An answer of Yes has the same effect as the "Restart ICQ
with account" option above
An answer of No has the same effect as the "Open Account
in new window" option above.
Lastly, before I go, I just want to inform you all that I am nearing
completion of the next major version of my TRegExtension VCL component for
C++ Builder. It sports a completely re-designed Extension Registration
process, and also now has new methods for determining if extensions are
already registered, and to retreive their information.
