Hello Lebeau-Software subscribers,

I just want to inform all of you Borland C++ Builder users that my
TICQProtocol VCL component is almost ready for public beta. For those of
you newer subscribers that may not know about this component yet, it is a
VCL component for adding ICQ communication support to your projects without
the need of the ICQ API (which is limited to begin with).

I spend most of this last weekend working on it. So far, I have tested the
following features with success:

- login/logout of ICQ servers
- send/receive messages through the server
- send/receive urls through the server
- request basic user info (nickname, full name, email)
- perform basic searches (uin, nickname, full name, email)
- update basic owner info (nickname, full name, email)

I'll let you all know when it's available for download.

Also, don't worry, I haven't forgotten about the next verison of my
TRegExtension VCL component (for registering file extensions with your
program), it is also almost ready for download. And once both of these
components are released, I will go to work on my ICQ webcam add-on, I
haven't given up on that yet ;-)
