Hello,
I would greatly appreciate if someone could suggest some reasons why <RUN OP
MSG> contains the (optional) <ITEM LIST>.
The difficulty I have with it is that whereas <COMMAND ARG LIST> is made up
by one or more <formal_argument> in the DCD, the DCD's command section does
not have a corresponding tag for <ITEM LIST> (e.g. <required_resources> are
prerequisites, not input parameters, and may contain more information than
just <ITEM ID>). The standard does not even suggest what <ITEM LIST> should
be used for, if it really is a list of resources the command should act on,
as some suggest, surely it would be more suitable to specify it in a
controlled manner via <formal_argument>? In that case even allowing for
<ITEM LIST> in <RUN OP MSG> seems to be an undesirable compliation of the
standard to me.
Please let me know if I have overlooked something.
Thanks for your help,
Kind regards,
Dorothe
