Scott -
In the electric gokart project that my son and I are doing, I don't
have the regen potentiometer from the lectra, just the swingarm with
motor, drive chain, controller etc... I also have the PDU board, but
wasn't planning on using it for the project. Can I just ignore the
Regen braking and leave the input resistance to the controller open,
or do I need to hard wire a set resistance into the controller to fool
the controller that regen braking is not active?
I also want to wire the throttle through a switch/resistor network
(to give me some top speed control - I don't want my son to get hurt)
and into the controller, but need to understand the throttle circuit a
little better to determine how to alter the throttle signal to limit
top speed. Is there somewhere I can get an owner's manual for the
controller to make sure that I don't do any damage with the throttle
or regen braking alterations or was the controller developed
specifically for EMB and no manual exists?
Sorry to keep bugging you with questions, but I really do appreciate
the help, the schematics and wire list info was outstanding.
Thanks again,
Jim Williams
