Hello all. I just purchased a Lectra that hadn't been used in 5 years. I have
replaced the batteries and the SOC lights and all other electrical system seem
ok but I cannot get the neutral light to go out. When I push the power button,
it goes out, but as soon as I release the power button the neutral light comes
back on. I have checked the brake and kickstand switches and they check OK with
a VOM. Is there a sequence I'm missing?

Thanks for any help.

Mark

Yep, you are in Neutral unless moving, according to the microcontroller in the bike.  All this is normal. Hold down PWR, push a little with your feet and roll...

Thanks for the info guys. I looks like time had caused some intermittent issues with the kickstand switch and the throttle pot. After spraying some contact...

Hi Mark -- Thanks for the update. If you have an early Lectra, that is rare and unique. We hand built those down to each detail. The forks came from a...

Thanks for the info. It gives me a place to start. I'll take out the bad seal and see if there are any part numbers. Does the gearbox require any lubrication?...

The gearbox is sealed and does not require any maintenance (if fact I would discourage you from opening it, at all). The wheel bearings are also sealed, I...
