LegalMed is a medical-legal listserv whose membership consists of legal, medical, and forensic professionals. There are a wide variety of members who work in the medical-legal arena including plaintiff and defense professionals, as well as members who do expert work in all disciplines for the plaintiff and defense. This is a rich resource of potential experts without high public visibility as the *Messages Are Not Archived* and experts rarely post publicly. The intent of this list is for legal, medical and forensic professionals to share information concerning forensic issues related to the medical aspects of a legal action. Discussion topics and requests for assistance can include, but are not limited to, medical negligence, trial preparation, types of physical and mental injuries, causation of injuries, discovery in a legal case, medical-legal web sites and cases of interest, dissemination of medical and forensic information including educational and networking opportunities, establishing the standards of care, and assistance with expert, consultant and subcontractor needs. All members are responsible for what they post and not the responsibility of the list owner. You are required to abide by Yahoo TOS and the LegalMed Guidelines.
