ATTN: Lex Customers and Librarians
SUBJECT: Changes in LexWin 1999-2002
The main difference between the 1.01.68, June 1999, and the 1.03.382
version that you downloaded is that all the modules are now within the
Windows version; it does not need or call on the DOS version for any
function. This includes Import, Export, and Card and Label printing.
The database is still fully compatible with the DOS versions, but for
full circ compatibility you should download the latest 4.060.07 DOS
version if you want to switch between the Windows and DOS versions for
all functions at any time.
DOS version features were added that were still lacking in 1.01.68,
like Help screens, full Password protection, searching unindexed
materials, and some features in the Edit screen like F3 Tags, F4
Scan, editing of indicators, and ALT-1 to Alt-0 programmable keys.
New features,
1. Search words shown in red in the Display screen.
2. Back, Forward and search history buttons and menus.
3. List screen columns can be resized.
4. Online helps and updates.
5. Separate fonts can be selected for screen and printing.
6. Separate print fonts can be selected for Cards, Labels, and
general.

9. Enhanced CONTENTS 505 input in Edit, and formatted in Display.

11. More sheet label printing formats available.

orto change expiry date, or to add a patron note field that shows
whenever patron entered.
