A question came in from a free Lexifile user relating to barcodes.
The answers can be found in the "old" archive of Lexifile information

The table of contents mentions "barcoding project"

Generally speaking support is not offered to the free download
people, an exception is made for people who participate in this
mailing list. If any of you have questions, post a message to the
site, and somebody will have the answer.

As to whether Lexifile will ever print barcodes: no new capabilities
are going in this software. However there are many utilities that
can be bought to print them. I recommend buying them pre-printed,
its cheaper and the labels last longer.

I use Lexifile in a small library here in New Zealand.

A few questions:
will Lexifile ever be able to print barcodes on a laser or inkjet
printer?
if I use a barcode font on another computer to print barcodes, what
kind of barcode does it have to print? (3 of 9 etc)
option to print a receipt when items are loaned?
option to disallow loans when a user has overdue items?
