ATTN: Lex Users and Librarians
SUBJECT: Hold Notice
One of our users has discovered a "bug" in the program that is very old. We have
verified it as correct. Esentially it is in evidence when:
1 You are in CIRC examining a patron record using the <F7> patron display
2 The patron has placed a book on hold
3 You print a report from this screen using the <F6> print command
The report states that the material "has become available" not "awaiting
material on hold."
The answer to the email is "yes it is a bug" and we will issue an update that
will handle the problem.
In the meantime, some handwritten modification of this form will be necessary.
It is eveidently not a well used report or it would have been noticed some time
ago.

Hi,
I think I may have found a bug in Lexifile (DOS).
I recently placed a hold on a book that was loaned to another patron. Upon
viewing the patron's details (the patron who wants the book), using F7, it
came up with items on hold, on loan etc as normal.
However, after pressing F6 to print this out, it came out ok, except the
text "...material which you placed on hold has become available..." was
printed on the report, instead of "Material on Hold:".
The book has not been checked in yet, so it is not available!
Is this a bug, or just some kind of misconfiguration.
