I'm John, and I'm new to Djgpp. Initially when i tried to compile
simple "socket" pgms, i used to get the "undefined socket reference"
error messages. Actually there was no "socket.h" header file in the
include/sys folder at all. i took it from "rsxntdj". when i opened
the header file, (to my horror!) i saw that the socket function did
not have a function body, just sort of a declaration.

After going through the delorie.com website FAQ, i downloaded
libsocket(ls080b.zip) and unzipped it in the "djgpp" folder. Then i
tried to compile the programs and yet they give errors. please let me
know what have i done wrong or what should i do in order to get the
programs working. i've installed DJGPP/Win98, 64MB RAM.

Now, I'm really confused and I'm desperately in need of help. if
you could help me, I would be the happiest person on the face of this
earth.
