Hi,

I wish you a happy, prosperous and a peaceful year. I am working on a
project to create a class library for DICOM digital imaging standards
communications on windows platform using tcp/ip
platform. My library would be used by an application
that interacts with all modalities like a Cardiology
Cathlab or Sonography machines that have their tcp/ip
addresses on a network.

My first stap here is to create an object which
creates a socket. IMHO, thought we would not be using
it should be based on CAsynchSocket class from
We would also be parsing some stuff like header bytes
from messages in this class (though this can be
handled separately). SO, essentially it would be a
socket in a wrapper class for establishing and
managing connection.

Could you please give me your views on this?
also please suggest good books on object oriented
programming using either C++ or windows. If you have
been listed on newsgroups or emagazines that you found
useful for networking or C++/OOPS programming, please
forward them to me.

Regards,

Suhas Walanjoo
