Jobs available, spice up your CV with keywords to get the job   Message List

Hi there
When applying for a job online, you need to remember that your CV would have
around 30 seconds to get the attention of the recruiter. If your CV fails to get
noticed within 30 seconds, the details will be overlooked doesn't matter how
good they are, and you will not be called for an interview or for more details.

If they like what they see at the first glance they will give it time and might
also get back to you for more details. Because it is an online CV you do not
need regular formatting as you do in a regular CV and also you have to keep it
in the simplest format possible i.e. plain text. So for online jobs the best way
to do it is to write your CV in a notepad or word pad so you would know for sure
the format the other people would see.

In an online CV you need to add different keywords from the start to the end.
This is because when you add your CV to a job search engine, recruiters normally
type in keywords to choose the candidate. Also try to list your major skills in
the beginning of the CV so it would get noticed. Simple words like excellent,
experienced, fast, skilled etc give extra spices to even boring CV so use them
wisely.
