Join the VA networks Jennifer. They not only have you mixing and mingling
with existing VAs (as will happen here very soon too), they also provide a
web listing for you, direct client contact through requests for work to be
done, and many other benefits too. At places like Craigslists you're going
to be competing with non-skilled persons with computers who charge very
cheap rates. Better you're mixing with the professionals, learning from
them and picking up work from clients who are already used to this way of
working.
I also promote online via my website, business forums and articles for
publications, as well as via advertising mediums like the Yellow Pages in my
country (Australia), plus I go to business networking meetings and meet
other business owners who may have need of my services. Business cards to
give out are a definite need for this type of networking.
I belong to these networks listed below but you'll find more listed at

Hi,
My name is Jennifer and I am just getting started in beind a VA. I was
curious how most of you go about finding clients?
Do you use local newspapers? Job Boards or Craigslist?
Any help would be useful.
Thanks!
