This survey seems to worth participating in, hence am crossposting to the
four main BLUG lists to ensure maximum coverage.
If you have any queries about this, please contact Seema Arora at teh
address given below.
Surveys like this help collect facts and numbers that go a long way to
support the credibility of the OpenSource world, so I'd appreciate it if a
lot of you spend a few minutes filling in the form.
TIA

Subject: Your help with open source survey
Dear Atul:
We are a group of researchers at Stanford University who are very
interested in studying the motivations and organization of open source
software as an alternative mode of software production.
To that end, we have prepared a survey nicknamed FLOSS-US that is a
follow-up of the original FLOSS study that was sponsored by the European
Union. Our aim in the present survey is to attract a much more
international response and we would especially like a large number of
respondents from India.
I am writing to seek your help in posting a link to our survey in the
linux-bangalore user group. Also your help and advise would be greatly
appreciated with regard to other web-sites that might attract a large
number of open source developers.
I am providing a link below to the survey announcement. If you would be
agreeable to posting the link on linux-banaglore, please let me know so
that I can send you our official survey announcement.
Many Thanks
Seema
