I might just install Xfce and be done with it. I used Xfce
exclusively for several years, back around 2000 - 2003 or 2004. I
really started using Gnome with Ubuntu, and while I've gotten used to
the "ease of use" of Gnome, I don't think I'm willing to wait for the
Dropline Gnome folks to release a new version.
